Join the Forum.
Membership is how you take part in the Forum. It is separate from the Documented Descent Review, and it never requires or implies one.
You join to support the work and make no claim of Indigenous ancestry through the Forum. Advocates include people with no Indigenous ancestry and people whose ancestry is unknown. Advocates receive updates, event access, and advocacy actions. An Advocate may also apply for a review later.
You join as a participant in Forum programs, including working groups and descendant research circles. Members may share their own family history. The Forum does not vouch for what a Member says unless a code is shown.
A designation you earn through review. It is available to Advocates and Members, and it is never purchased.
All memberships are non-voting. The Forum's board elects itself. Membership does not give anyone authority to speak for the Forum, and it does not confer any status related to any tribe or nation.
Joining is not open yet. Tell us below whether you would like to join as an Advocate or a Member, and we will contact you when it opens. Any membership dues will be explained before you join.
